Pity, the prayer room in Bukittinggi failed to sacrifice because it was deceived by a livestock seller, here are the details of the loss

Baitul Jannah prayer room at RT 007/RW 001 Campago Ipuah Village, Mandiangin District, Koto Selayan, Bukittinggi, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) failed to carry out the sacrifice on Eid al-Adha 2022 because the five cows and one goat ordered did not come.

"We feel cheated, the five cows and one goat that we ordered to the provider of sacrificial animals on behalf of Aldi did not come, the loss was more than Rp. 100 million," said Chairman of the Committee for the Sacrifice of the Baitul Jannah M Zadry, in Campang Ipuah, Bukittinggi, Sunday, July 10. .

He said the five cows and one goat were contributions from the qurbani from 36 residents with 350 qurban coupons that had been distributed.

"We received information, there are about five prayer rooms including this mosque in Bukittinggi which also experienced the same thing, the sacrificial cows from the same provider did not come or had problems, including the victim, one of the DPRD members," he asserted.

He plans with the prayer room management to officially report to the police if until Monday 11 July, the provider does not come or give news.

"The order has been made since one month ago and we have paid it off with details of one participant offering Rp. 2.8 million, if there is no goodwill, we plan to report it tomorrow with the other management," he said, quoted by Antara.

In addition, the prayer room in Koto Dalam, Pulai Anak Air is known to be forced to make a joint contribution to be able to buy sacrificial animals, because the cows ordered did not arrive before the slaughter.

Bukittinggi Police Chief Kompol Rita Suryati said that previously his party had tried to coordinate with several mosques and prayer rooms that suffered similar losses.

He said that at the Bukit Apit Mosque, officers mediated a similar issue by making an agreement between Aldi's family and the owner of the sacrificial cow to guarantee payment because Aldi could not be contacted.

"From the information from the sacrificial committee, Aldi claimed to have a cow pen in Gadut, then the committee picked up the cow, but according to the owner, Aldi had not paid until he had to meet his family to be able to guarantee it, because the cow had to be brought to the mosque to be sacrificed," Rita explained.

Kompol Rita has not been able to confirm that this incident was a fraud or something else, because it was Aldi who could not be contacted even by his family.
